More than 100 Golfers Gather on the Putting Green to Support Nebraska Children, Families and Individuals

On Friday, September 11, KVC Nebraska brought together its staff, volunteers and community partners for a day of golf, BBQ, socially-distanced fun! The KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament is held annually to raise funds for children, individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, Nebraska Families, and fund KVC’s Resource Family Conference.

This year, over 100 golfers, many dressed in their best red, white and blue outfits to honor Patriot’s Day, joined us to play 18 holes on the beautiful Ashland Golf Club course in Ashland, Neb. Golfers also had the opportunity to enter dozens of raffles to receive gifts donated by a variety of individual sponsors and community organizations.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, vendors, golfers, staff and volunteers, our 8th annual tournament raised over $13,775 to support Nebraska children, families and individuals! That makes this year’s tournament our most successful yet. See below for the full list of sponsors who helped make this event possible.

The money raised at the KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament will help us underwrite the 2022 Resource Family Conference. At this fun and educational weekend conference, we host hundreds of KVC foster parents, Shared Living providers who care for individuals with disabilities, industry professionals, clients and children free of charge.

While parents, caregivers and industry professionals participate in unique trainings, learn from renowned speakers and network with each other to build invaluable support systems, youth and clients enjoy exciting field trips to the zoo, trampoline park, and movie theater, along with so many other fun activities.
