2020 KVC Resource Family Conference
March 6, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - March 7, 2020 @ 4:00 pm

KVC Nebraska’s Resource Family Conference will take place March 6–7, 2020, at the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, NE. This annual event is a one-of-a-kind training opportunity for KVC Nebraska Resource Families, non-KVC affiliated Resource Families and industry professionals.
What’s a Resource Family?
Resource families are individuals and families caring for youth in the foster care system, extended family home providers caring for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and the youth and clients we serve.
Conference attendees will learn about topics such as body safety, growth mindsets, mental health awareness and compassion fatigue. Participants will also partner with other support teams to learn from one another. Children and clients in care will enjoy fun activities like carnival games, bouncy houses, trips to Lost In Fun, Urban Air, the Lincoln Zoo and more!

Keynote topic: Roots of Resiliency – Rebecca Bender
Rebecca Bender was lured out of her small community and forced into human trafficking for nearly six years. Tricked by a man she thought was her boyfriend, many vulnerabilities she was unaware of set her up to be a target for traffickers.
