Omaha, NE – September 4, 2015 – Close to 100 representatives from leading Omaha & Lincoln area companies will spend the 11^th of September perfecting their golf game for a great cause at the KVC Nebraska Kids Classic Golf Tournament at Thornridge Golf Course in Milford, NE. All proceeds raised at the golf tournament will go towards KVC Nebraska’s Resource Family Conference (RFC). Last year’s tournament allowed over 200 children and 150 foster families to experience the two day event known as the RFC. On the first day of the RFC families are treated to entertainment, fellowship, and a complimentary hotel room. The formal educational component of the conference begins on the second day, when nationally-known speakers address current issues facing the foster care system. While parents participate in numerous presentations and workshops, children enjoy fun activities and have the opportunity to meet and interact with other children from similar homes and backgrounds. For some of the children KVC serves, this is the only time in their lives they experience this kind of fun and their gratitude is indescribable.

For the golf tournament, eighteen teams will play a morning flight beginning at 9:30 a.m. Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, lunch and gifts and prizes. Games will be set up throughout the course to help golfers improve their scores and have a little extra fun.

KVC Nebraska is a child welfare and behavioral healthcare organization that provides foster care and intensive in-home services. Its mission is to enrich and enhance the lives of Nebraska families.
