Nebraska Businesses Help Children Through KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament

On September 14, KVC Nebraska brought together its staff, volunteers and community partners for a day of golf, BBQ, beautiful weather and fun. The KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament is held annually to raise funds for children, individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and families in Nebraska, and fund KVC’s Resource Family Conference.
The 6th annual tournament was held at the beautiful Ashland Golf Course in Ashland, Neb. Twenty-five four-person teams played 18 holes of golf and enjoyed other fun yard games throughout the day. Golfers also had the opportunity to enter dozens of raffles to receive gifts donated by a variety of individual sponsors and community organizations, including two tickets to a Nebraska football game, gift cards, a round of golf at Ashland Golf Course, home appliances and other fun experiences.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, vendors, golfers and volunteers, this year’s tournament raised nearly $12,000 to help children and families! See below for the full list of sponsors who helped make this event possible.
The money raised at the KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament helps underwrite the 2018 Resource Family Conference. At this fun-filled conference, we host hundreds of KVC foster parents, extended family home providers who care for individuals with disabilities, clients and children free of charge. It is a unique weekend experience where volunteer caregivers and industry professionals come together to receive one-of-a-kind training, hear from renowned speakers, and network with each other to build invaluable support systems.
