From June 9 – 11, forty one generous individuals enjoyed a weekend of crafting and scrapbooking for a good cause at the sold out 2nd Annual Crop for Kids Scrapbooking Fundraiser. This fundraiser offered crafting, raffles and prizes throughout the fun weekend. The event took place at the KVC Nebraska office in Lincoln and raised funds for KVC’s Annual Resource Family Conference (RFC).

The RFC is a unique training opportunity for licensed foster families who care for children and teens who have experienced abuse, neglect and other family challenges and are temporarily in state custody. Children and teens get to enjoy fun activities while foster parents hear from guest speakers, network with other foster parents and learn about topics such as helping youth feel safe and connected, promoting healthy brain development and resilience, and partnering with other members of a child and family’s support team.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our participants and sponsors who helped make the 2nd Annual Crop for Kids Scrapbooking Fundraiser a success: Walmart, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, Bagles & Joe, Pettit’s Pastry, Jimmy Johns, Goodcents and Raising Cane’s.
