Step-Up Omaha!

Are you or someone you know between the ages of 14 and 21?  If so, are any of the following of interest?

1. Learn more about your strengths, talents and career interests.
2. Acquire life and job skills and get connected with longer term employment opportunities.
3. Gain work experiences including interviewing, job search and customer service.
4. Gain valuable on-the-job work experience and explore future career opportunities.
5. Earn up to $1,800 this summer and gain valuable educational training.

The Empowerment Network and City of Omaha in collaboration with community partners are working to provide opportunities for youth and young adults. They will gain valuable job training and work experience during the summer.  We’re working to provide jobs, internships, work experience, vocational training, academic recovery and remediation, life skills training, and community service opportunities.

STEP-UP OMAHA! recruits, trains, and places prepared Omaha youth and young adults age 14 to 21, in mutually beneficial paid summer jobs and work experience opportunities.  STEP-UP OMAHA! builds on the Empowerment Network and community *partners’ successes in hiring and placing over 3400 participants over the past seven years.  Based on its commitment to building a highly competitive workforce of the future, the City of Omaha has made a significant investment in helping to expand the employment program.
