Placement Stability Training (Omaha, Neb.)

Placement Stability training teaches the importance of placement stability for foster children, the stages of disruption, and the legislative history impacting placement stability. 1.5 CEUs.
Objectives:Â
- Define placement stability.
- Discuss what child welfare legislation says about placement stability.
- Examine effects on children who have experienced numerous placements.
- Discuss what information foster parents need in order to make a good decision about having a child come into their home.
- Discuss stages of placement disruption.

Childcare is available at all trainings, but foster parents must sign-up for childcare prior to each training date. Foster Parents are required to earn 12 hours of CEUs each year of their licensing period (for a total of 24 hours per licensing period).
