Covers how to handle a crisis, what paperwork to fill out, signals of suicidal/self harming behavior, and how to ask for help if a crisis occurs.

Discusses laws and KVC practices in regards to the Multi-ethnic Placement Act, Indian Child Welfare Act, and Cultural Competency.

Discusses the importance of maintain youth in placements and the detriment of providing notice that they youth needs to move homes.

Covers common medication errors, how to administer and store medications, what to do in the event of an emergency, and how to properly fill out the KVC Medication Log.

Reiterates the importance of working two permanency plans (i.e. reunification, adoption, etc.) at the same time for the child. Covers KVC practices and the role of all parties in planning for permanency.

Provides techniques that can be utilized in the home to help handle a youth who has become escalated. Participants get the opportunity to practice skills to help manage a crisis verbally.
