More than 5,000 Nebraska children and teens need foster families to open their hearts and homes. It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you?

One of the first and most important steps to becoming a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete TIPS-MAPP training (Trauma-Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. TIPS-MAPP also aids you in determining if fostering or adopting is right for you.

KVC Nebraska offers this course at no cost to you. Classes will be held from 5:30–8:30 pm every Tuesday at our Omaha location with the first class taking place August 1, 2023, and the last class taking place October 3, 2023 (October 10th if virtual check-in). Class size is limited and new class groups start every 4-6 weeks.
