Want to Foster or Adopt? Learn More About the Process With This Free Training
February 18, 2023 @ 9:00 am - April 22, 2023 @ 12:00 pm

More than 5,000 Nebraska children and teens need foster families to open their hearts and homes. It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you?
One of the first and most important steps to becoming a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete TIPS-MAPP training (Trauma-Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. TIPS-MAPP also aids you in determining if fostering or adopting is right for you.
KVC Nebraska offers this course at no cost to you. Classes will be held from 9:00 am–12:00 pm every Saturday at our Lincoln location with the first class taking place February 18, 2023, and the last class taking place April 22, 2023. Class size is limited and new class groups start every 4-6 weeks.
If you’re considering becoming a foster parent with KVC and want to sign up for class, please contact Annesia Thompson at (402) 498-4700 or anthompson@kvc.org.
