Trauma 101 Training

This training is available to foster parents and worth 2 CEUs.
This class provides foster parents with an overview of trauma, an understanding of how trauma affects children and parents, and how to work with people who have experienced trauma.
Objectives:
- Understand how trauma affects children and brain development
- Learn ways to promote a healthy brain
- Discuss trauma triggers
- Review the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study
Childcare is available at all trainings, but foster parents must sign-up for childcare prior to each training date. Foster Parents are required to earn 12 hours of CEUs each year of their licensing period (for a total of 24 hours per licensing period).
If you are a KVC foster parent, please complete the “KVC AFFILIATE REGISTRATION.” If you are a foster parent with another agency or an industry professional, please complete the “NON-KVC REGISTRATION.”
