Trauma 101 Training for KVC Foster Parents

This Trauma 101 training is available to KVC foster parents and worth 2 CEUs. For information on how to participate, please email Morgan Schmidt at mschmidt@kvc.org.
This class provides foster parents with an overview of trauma, an understanding of how trauma affects children and parents, and how to work with people who have experienced trauma.
Objectives:
- Understand how trauma affects children and brain development
- Learn ways to promote a healthy brain
- Discuss trauma triggers
- Review the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study
