Now in Scottsbluff! Training to Become a Foster or Adoptive Parent
October 15, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Free

More than 3,000 Nebraska children and teens need foster families to open their hearts and homes. It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you?
One of the first and most important steps to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete TIPS-MAPP training (Trauma Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. TIPS-MAPP also aids you in determining if fostering or adopting is right for you.
KVC Nebraska offers this course at no cost to you. The entire course will be completed in eight sessions and all classes take place from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
Class schedule:
- October 15 &16: Platte Valley Bank Community Room at 1106 Platte Valley Dr., Scottsbluff, NE 69361
- October 29 & 30: Runza Convention Center at 1817 Broadway, Scottsbluff, NE 69361
- November 5, 6, 12 & 13: Runza Convention Center at 1817 Broadway, Scottsbluff, NE 69361
