This Racially and Culturally Diverse Families training is available to KVC foster parents and is worth 2 CEUs.
In this training, you will learn:

Gain an understanding of terms and concepts important to this discussion

Learn what they can do to prepare for placement of a child of a race or culture different from their own

Explore what they can do to help a child become a stable, happy, healthy individual, with a strong sense of cultural and racial identity

Strengthen their commitment to providing culturally competent care because they understand what is at stake for kids.
