This training on the physical health needs of children in foster care is available to KVC foster parents. It is worth 2 CEUs.

Children who are abused and neglected may suffer immediate physical injuries such as cuts, bruises, or broken bones.  Ongoing issues with children’s health such as asthma, diabetes, encopresis, enuresis, failure to thrive, inadequate immunization, poor dental hygiene or multiple caries, prenatal exposure to cocaine, alcohol, narcotics and shaken baby syndrome will be discussed.
