Managing Undesirable Behaviors Part 1 – Virtual

Time: 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
This Managing Undesirable Behaviors Part 1 training is available to KVC foster parents and is worth 2 CEUs.
In this training, you will learn:
- What is your parenting style
- What is your goal for parenting
- What type of values does your household uphold
- How to slow down your parenting
- What is parental resilience
- Review appropriate developmental expectations
- Teach parents to interact positively with children (such as showing enthusiasm and attention for good behavior and letting the child take the lead in play activities)
- Increasing attention and praise for positive children’s behaviors
- Positive family communication including active listening and reducing criticism and sarcasm
- Family meetings to improve order and organization
- Effective and consistent discipline including reasonable and logical consequences
