Internet Safety and the Dark Net for KVC Foster Parents (2 CEU’s)
October 14, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

This training on internet safety and the dark net is available to KVC foster parents. It is worth 2 CEUs.
The internet can be wonderful for kids. They can use it to research school reports, communicate with teachers and other kids, and play interactive games. But online access also comes with risks, like inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and online predators. The dark web is a part of the internet that isn’t indexed by search engines. You’ve no doubt heard talk of the “dark web” as a hotbed of criminal activity — and it is. The inherent anonymity of the place attracts scammers and thieves. In this training, we will discuss basic guidelines for internet safety and how to deal with issues that may arise.
