This training is available to foster parents and worth 2 CEUs.

During Healthy Sexual Boundaries, foster parents will:

• Increase their comfort in talking about sex/sexuality
• Learn the essential relationship skills to increase a sense of safety in discussing sex/sexuality
• Define sexual behavior throughout the lifespan
• Respond to sexual behavior
• Demonstrate how to talk to children about the types of touch
• Create a plan for how their home will encourage healthy boundaries and sexual development
• Common signs that a child has been sexually abused
• Learn how to talk to a child about sexual abuse
• Learn how to care for yourself when talking to a child about sexual abuse

Childcare is available at all trainings, but foster parents must sign-up for childcare prior to each training date. Foster Parents are required to earn 12 hours of CEUs each year of their licensing period (for a total of 24 hours per licensing period).
