Crisis Management Training (Lincoln, Neb.)

Crisis Management training provides foster parents with definitions of what constitutes a crisis, what to do in a crisis (responses, paperwork, notifications), and how to successfully keep kids safe throughout a crisis situation. 1.5 CEUs.
Objectives:
- Define a Crisis and Critical Incident.
- Understand different incident types.
- Understand the importance of monitoring incidents for The Joint Commission (TJC).
- Understand Critical Incident notification process.
- Discuss Suicide and Self-Harm Incidents.
- Discuss Mandatory Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting
- Activity: determining what to do with various types of crises.

Childcare is available at all trainings, but foster parents must sign-up for childcare prior to each training date. Foster Parents are required to earn 12 hours of CEUs each year of their licensing period (for a total of 24 hours per licensing period).
