This training is available to foster parents and worth 2 CEUs.

In this training, you will learn:

• The difference between attachment and bonding.
• The four types of attachments and the Strange Situation Procedure.
• How to support established attachments while supporting new attachments and demonstrate the ability to support the attachments children have.
• How trauma affects the ability to attach and know the signs of a possible attachment disorder.

Childcare is available at all trainings, but foster parents must sign-up for childcare prior to each training date. Foster Parents are required to earn 12 hours of CEUs each year of their licensing period (for a total of 24 hours per licensing period).

If you are a KVC foster parent, please complete the “KVC AFFILIATE REGISTRATION.” If you are a foster parent with another agency or an industry professional, please complete the “NON-KVC REGISTRATION.”
