DESCRIPTION:This training is available to foster parents and worth 2.5 CEUs. \nKVC Nebraska believes all people matter and can grow through experiencing healthy relationships. In the Mandt System Training\, there are several helpful verbal de-escalation tools taught that employees\, foster families\, and extended family home providers can utilize to encourage safety and connection through effective communication with individuals served\, family members\, co-workers\, friendships\, professionals\, etc. \nThe Mandt System trains R.A.D.A.R. as a way to help individuals effectively assess what is going on inside of them\, with the people around them\, and their environment to impact their decision-making skills and decide to act in a helpful way\, instead of depending only on their reactions to the situation. DESCRIPTION:KVC Nebraska’s Resource Family Conference will take place March 6–7\, 2020\, at the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln\, NE. Participants will also partner with other support teams to learn from one another.
