SUMMARY:Medication Aide Training (Lincoln\, Neb.)
DESCRIPTION:This training reviews safe medication management.  After this training\, providers should be able to give meds in a safe\, consistent manner\, in a clean\, sterile technique\, and have medication that is clearly labeled and issued by a pharmacy or hospital.  The 8 Rights of Medication Administration are defined and discussed.  Proper storing of medication is discussed and examples given. A review of KVC Policy is given\, and expectations for providers are defined. \nContact Rachel Garcia for more information or to sign up at rgarcia@kvc.org or 402-880-4926. \n\n  \nChildcare is available at all trainings\, but foster parents must sign-up for childcare prior to each training date. Foster Parents are required to earn 12 hours of CEUs each year of their licensing period (for a total of 24 hours per licensing period).
